Who I am …
My name is Rick West, and I am a doctoral student in Instructional Technology at the University of Georgia, working in the Learning and Performance Support Laboratory. I am married, and have two beautiful little girls.

What I do …
I am currently finishing up my coursework and preparing to take comprehensive exams. I am interested in research pertaining to community as a metaphor for learning, the development of expertise in learners, and mixed-methods and design-based methods of conducting research.

I enjoy running marathons, playing with my children, listening to acapella music, reading (all genres), and serving in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
